Dresden” the scene

Saving Private Ryan

(For optimal experience, use headphones)

Hello world,

What is a movie without sound? This demo of Audio Post Production showcases my title card for film production, foley artistry, dialogue replacement, sound design, and more. Imagine the good-old days where picture films were the thing, but today, the Audio Producer is just as important as the Film Producer. Notice how the sounds, audio, and dialogue are adjusted to the milliseconds (one tiny fraction of sound activating before images) of action in this clip of “Dresden” from the major movie film production “Saving Private Ryan” (for authorized demo/epk purposes only). SMPTE Time Codes have been applied using Pro Tools, the global industry-standard Digital Audio Workstation.

When actors and scenes use microphones on sets, there may be good audio which can be kept at times but the majority of the time the audio producer replaces what is required, and produces what I (the audio producer) and the film director wants. The dialogue assigned; “Ryan get down!” and “Ryan! Ryan, damn it get your ass up, get in that hole until I fire! Move, move, move!” and “Ryan get your head outta’ your ass, rrrr!” and “Wha-are you doing! What are you doing Ryan! Ryan, get your ass back here where are you going!” in the battlefield. I used sound design and applied Foley as well; title card, the dial in and dial out for film production (the beeps), sound for the Full Sail University logo, fire crackling (Dresden intro, fire crackling for intro and on scene for bunker throughout), clock, helicopters, guns, gun movements, explosions, body movements and footsteps, on scene and off scene/distant audio, the jar and cup, etcetera.

*Constructive feedback will allow me to know what to change, add, or remove. Critique and feedback is always appreciated and applied whether music or tv/film. Deadlines are a number one priority in entertainment, and many late nights are what keeps progress going.
